Aero Yachts Services has been cleaning and detailing aircraft interiors and exteriors for nearly a decade. Through these efforts, the question has always been in our minds about how we might treat those areas to prevent dirt and stains from penetrating in the first place. What cleaners, waxes or protective treatments can be utilized to extend the appearance of every surface material from fabric to paint to polished metal?

Over the past three years AYS has worked closely with two specialty chemical manufacturers to use the latest in scientific developments to create products that truly work to repel dirt and stains. Our initial success came in the form of a “Super-Hydrophobic” application that works on fabrics, textiles and carpets to shed stain-causing liquids, dirt and debris from the surface of the fibers. We have tested the product to aircraft industry standards and now have a product for interiors that reduces the effect of the environment on “soft” interior materials. The material has even been tested to ensure that it does not negatively impact the flammability of carpets and fabrics.

Further to this effort, we have also developed an exterior paint and polished metal polymer that uses the same “Super-Hydrophobic” characteristics to protect exterior surfaces. This new product helps shed dirt and stains at the molecular level and provides a very resistive surface that keeps your aircraft exterior cleaner for a longer period. It also makes the subsequent cleaning process easier, as dirt and debris do not adhere easily to the treated surfaces.
